How to calm the chatter in our mind

by. Stefania Rosa

Imagine that at some point, to play down the gravity of this chatter, I even gave a name to that buzz: the "CCC", or "Hamster That Runs" (In italian - “Criceto Che Corre”). You know the hamster that turns incessantly in the wheel aimlessly?

If someone had told me a few years ago that I would meditate…. I would have reacted with a big, big laugh!

The chatter in my head was such that I never thought I would be able to sit down, close my eyes and, for at least 5 minutes, achieve the so-called "mental blank".

I did my first attempt at meditating about 10 years ago but with little result: I could not practice every day and saw no benefits.

A few years later, in the library of my town, a few steps from home, I found the flyer for an evening presentation of the technique Neural Stimulation. As soon as I read it, my stomach sank and I knew I had to go there, still unaware that it would be a …… "sliding door"!

From that moment on, I began to really take control of my life and my health, ceasing to rely only on the help of others.

Curious by nature but also always looking for "evidence" to demonstrate the effectiveness and authenticity of the tools I use, I immediately started meditating and experimenting with treatments, both on myself and on others.

At first I was a little afraid of putting my hands on others, I feared their rejection, but little by little I gained courage and started to treat even those close to me.

I admit that the path was initially a bit tortuous: a world had opened up, that until then, I knew little about. But my stubbornness, combined with the support of the group with which I could share and exchange any doubts, made me enthusiastic in wanting to continue with my experimentation.

Having such a simple and, it must be said, "handy" tool, which allowed me to improve my psychophysical health wherever I was, confirmed once again how much everyone can take responsibility for their health, at every level.

Meditation is now a daily companion that has allowed me to reduce, together with the treatments, my severe headaches, migraines and negative and obsessive thoughts that have conditioned me for many years and to acquire clarity, presence and the emotional stability that I missed.

Furthermore, the EU MEDITO app turned out to be a simple and effective tool that I always carry with me, even on my travels: I have often shared it with friends and fellow travelers I met along the way and I have always had the feeling that meditation and treatments would help to dissolve any linguistic and cultural barriers and to bring our souls closer!

For me, meditation represents that intimate but expanded space where the encounter with oneself takes place and where the encounter with that Something Else is prepared.

With gratitude, Stefania
