TODAY, is such a short word and encompasses so much. We usually call the 24 hours that we are living that way, but it really means much more. It is that precise moment that we are living, but metaphorically asleep. Much literature describes today as the only thing that exists, because yesterday is past, tomorrow has not arrived and indeed we are always between yesterday and tomorrow, hardly in today.

That little word that requires our full consciousness to feel, smell, taste, touch and memorize what we are living, awake, attentive to what is happening around us and simply see life as it is, with its wonderful colors, savoring it and mainly "feeling".

The way to be present at all times in "today" is to be aware of what you do and how that moment makes you feel, what moves inside you, which in the end is what you are and says a lot about what you carry inside .

Most of the time, we engage in conversations without really paying attention, we just pretend to be there, our mind flies to what we did not do or have to do. If we are sitting eating, do we savor? Do we enjoy that delicious aroma of food, or do we notice the colors of the food itself? We gobble up like any other animal that does not have the ability to reason. We live roboticized.

In this time, today means so many things, less common life. The famous social networks that have managed to integrate many in simultaneous conversations, breaking relationships and unforgettable moments that only exist today; We lose so many details, the reactions of the other, we lose the emotional moments that are hidden behind a last generation metal box, because you definitely cannot deny that a hahahaha on your Smartphone, can replace the sound of your best friend's full laugh ; It is not and will never be the same.

Being aware at all times requires a greater effort than breathing. It is necessary to be alert in everything we do, touch, see, move, and most importantly, know that we are assimilating what we have experienced at that precise moment; integrating into our being each of our reactions and therefore also the emotions behind the act per se.

Acting automatically takes us away from the present moment. It does not allow us to see the greatness of the moment, it turns us into zombie beings, who live the moment from instinct, without being aware of what we feel and most importantly, the way we react, what is at the root? If we could be observers of our own life, it would allow us more easily to know ourselves. When you live in the here and now, even death is irrelevant.
