"It is clear that today's school cannot be like yesterday's school in the least. Everything in society has changed, has exploded in a frenzied succession of facts and events"

A few days ago I was talking to a young woman whom I have known for a long time and whom I respect a lot. We were talking calmly when she asked me to clarify the character of the novel she was reading by a well-known author. She had to read it before her school year began, which was now very close.

I quickly pointed out the central points and the main theme of the work and then contextualized the author, highlighting the main features of the time to which he belonged. The beginning of the 20th century, in the turn of the century, is the prelude and the germ of social, cultural, philosophical upheavals, economic and ethical than the wildest imagination could ever have imagined.

"AH! "She replied," but that is not how texts are presented in school, if they were explained like this! it would be easier to understand them!" I had returned in a moment to the here and now. In her way, she had also put something into perspective! Two generations compared, two eras. The distance is light years.

It is clear that today's school cannot be like yesterday's school in the least. Everything in society has changed, has exploded in a frenzied succession of facts and events without a rhythm, almost ungovernable. And society is still the backbone of a school.

However the birth of a new order, of balance, finds its roots in the chaos from which it arises. Ordo ab Chaos.

By way of mental formation, the “oldies” think that facts and the present things, the

actions and thoughts of a human being, have roots that sink into the social and cultural weave that connote it, condition it and sometimes even determine it.

Today, on the contrary, a paradox in the era of globalization and, nevertheless, the fruit of the globalization, everything in each field is compartmentalized and specific. Tied to a temporary dimension that always flees into the future, so that what is true now will cease to be within a month, a day, an hour. The time factor is decisive, rather imperative. People know she's used to forgetting herself to keep up. Or rather, with the times. Must be an artist and a winner. Always. The other is the antagonist. Sometimes the enemy. You have to move it, remove it from your path by any means.

This creates unhappiness, aggressiveness, fear, and pain.

The most advanced technology and studies put the whole world at our feet, exploring the limits of matter, energy and thought. To overcome them. This makes the final frontier between science and the thirst for power is very blurred and dangerous.

Mankind is increasingly fragile before the uncertainty that surrounds him caused by a career of power that has taken on aspects of a delusion of omnipotence. Because he - the man - is no longer the center of life. The very meaning of life is no longer the center of the search. Many idols have taken his place. Global finance has displaced the economy. Virtual reality has communication and the fertile exchange of opinions supplanted; culture is dead and globalized.

Man is increasingly manipulated and manipulated by a virtual world that dominates him and conditions his decisions. To the detriment of free will. The individual ability to take decisions based on self-awareness

Fortunately, among the new generations, some young people are flocking to our help. In their own way. Greta Thunberg, for example. Many still grope in this chaos with no reference points. They do not know how to enjoy the beauty of a sunrise, a field of flowers, a bike ride with friends. We must learn anew to laugh, simply to laugh. And love life, in every moment, because it is beautiful. It is the most effective cure against anxiety and fear.

We don't have to prove anything to anyone, we don't compete with anyone. We don't have to be thin and evanescent like models, we don't have to be manly and fit with inflated muscles and deflated brains. Just ourselves. Unique and unrepeatable beings, full of potential. Perhaps it has not yet come to light today. But that's what we are here for.

Rediscover the centrality of man at the center of life. To rediscover us themselves. If I'm okay, the world is okay. This is what the La Jardinera teaches us. Get it back our own selves, our own well-being in simplicity.

How to do it? Day after day, performing everyday gestures with awareness, capturing its simplicity and importance. Setting projects to carry out, at first simple and close to us, then more wide. Without forgetting that sharing is a source of great wealth and satisfaction. Man is a being social life and each of his actions and thoughts only acquires a full meaning within a broader context, in which the other has a role and an importance that enhances our

Actions.
